Manufactured ca. in the 1960ties, in color silver-metallic/lightblue, very pretty and almost like new condition without any signs of playing, all functions and the electric motor are tested and working perfect, marked with "Made in Western Germany" in beige letters, all parts from the model are authentic to the year of production, with Varianto steering wire 3010/4 and original cardboard box.

The Varianto series first entered the Schuco range in 1951 and was built up to and including 1966. At that time, the range was repeatedly expanded with new vehicle types, with the Varianto electric tanker 3116 being added in 1957. It has a battery-operated electric motor powered by two 1.5 volt batteries in the rear of the model and a start/stop function, all operated by a lever at the rear. The direction of travel can be controlled e.g. by a remote control shaft or it runs accordingly on the track of the Varianto layout. There was no reissue of the Varianto series.
