The globe, depicting the earth, is with accurate lines of the continents and is with the 17th - 18th century geographical names for parts of the world A subtle carved palette of Ivory oceans created into our world as seen by the artist. Each country is hand-carved, selected from the maps at the time and fitted into their proper places with expert skill and precision. All of them are hand done. On a miniature raised stand of ivory with round turned base and turned column with conforming silver. This fine miniature is a rare item with handsome patina and is quite legible.
